INSTRUCTION

1. The short-listed candidate, are required to report on mentioned dates for counseling. If the candidate fails to report in between the mentioned period, his/her candidature will automatically be cancelled and no request will be considered under any circumstances regarding this.

2. The candidates are required to submit the following certificates/ testimonials, in original at the time of registration which will be given back after admission.

· Certificates and Marks sheets of 10^th &12^th, graduation or any other qualification.

· Set of true-copies of all above documents

· Category certificate

· Character certificate signed by head of institutions/School/college

· 4 PP sized photographs

3. The selected candidates are required to deposit their admission fees as mentioned in letter only in form of DEMAND DRAFT. Fee has to be deposited at time of admission.

4. Instruction for SC/ST candidates are given separately.

5. The results of General category/ OBC/ S/C S/T / P/H are given separately.

6. In case the reserved candidate fail to attend the counseling, his/her seat will be allotted to next candidate.

7. If the rank resembles, the candidate will be selected on the basis of aggregate marks in class XII followed by that of class X followed by the age.

8. The Institute/ Selection Committee reserves all rights of cancellation/selection of the candidates.

9. No T/A D/A will be paid by the institute.

10. Date of counseling: 4 th August 2008 to 16 th AUGUST 2008.

HOW TO FILL THE ADMISSION FORM

1. One candidated may apply for only on course in one time.
2. The admission form must be filled-in by the candidate in his/her own handwriting, in block letters only.
3. The admission form must be filled-in, by the blue ink only.
4. Name of the course and course-code must be mentioned clearly, in the spaces, provided for.
5. Two P.P. size photographs must be well pasted in the appropriate space, provided.
6. Documents/Enclosed- The attested copies of Age proving certificate, Marks-sheet of Class Xth, Marks-sheet of 12th Passed examination, caste-certificate and others, must be attached with the admission form. The documents must be attested by the Head of the School/college, last attended or any Gazetted Officer.

5. HOW TO APPLY: Copy of Mark Sheet and Passing Certificate for 10th and 10+2 (for degree courses) and Graduation (for masters), Caste Certificate, 2 PP size Photograph, 2 self addressed 10×23 cm envelops with Rs. 5/- postal stamp on each and application fee (IPO or DD) must be attached with duly attached application form.
6. LAST DATE: Application form shall reach at the given address by 31/05/2008. No application form will be accepted after the due date.
7. POSTAL ADDRESS TO APPLY AT: Application form should be send to the Director, IPMT, 129-Anand Nagar, Inderlok, New Delhi, 110035, through general/ registered/ speed post or through courier.
8. SELECTION PROCEDURE: The Entrance Exam will be on the basis of written examination for General knowledge, General Science and General English. All the question will be objective type. The candidate will be selected on the basis of merit of the marks obtained in the entrance examination.

For SC and ST Candidates Only

IPMT has made provision for free training to SC/ST candidates of UP and Uttarakhand. The underprivileged SC/ST candidates will be provided free training and placement.
They are required to follow the instructions as mentioned below:
ï¶ They should produce the certificate & mark-sheet for class X & XII in original with 2 set of photocopies.
ï¶ Caste Certificate issued by competent authority in original & two set of photocopies.
ï¶ Income Certificate issued by competent authority in original & two set of photocopies. (To avail free seats the annual income of the guardian should be less than 80,000 per annum.)
ï¶ Permanent Residence Certificate/ Domicile issued by competent authority.
ï¶ 4 pp sized photographs.
ï¶ The selected candidates are required to deposit their admission fees as mentioned only in form of DEMAND DRAFT in favour of Registrar, Punjab Technical University, Payable at Jalandhar.
ï¶ The date of counseling and other instruction are same as mentioned in selection letter.
If the candidate fails to submit the proper documents during the counseling, his/her candidature for free seat will stand cancelled and he/she will be considered as general candidate.

Note: Last date of admission is similar to general candidate.
